The band will take the stage next Thursday night, 7/9/09 at 7:30 PM for DCT All-Stars Unplugged. Friday's Child will unleash songs from the upcoming new album. Laura Dodd will open the show with Tom on guitar, and they will also debut some new songs they co-wrote for her upcoming release. This promises to be a packed out show. FRIDAY'S CHILD IS WORKING ON A NEW ALBUM...
Tom, Rich and Kevin are culling through over 25 new songs toward recording the first Friday's Child studio album in over 4 years. Given the association with DigitalCafeTour.com, the band has been afforded the opportunity to do many live concert recordings. The band has enough solid new music in this stripped down, electric-guitar-driven format to merit going into the studio. This may be the first 'digital only' release by the band. Physical CD's will be limited and only made available at shows. The goal is to continue to capture the band's live shows and to disseminate them in both video and audio form through DCT's expanded network of distribution, which now includes YouTube Premium, Verizon FiOS, and a global cell phone distribution deal that DCT will announce next week. Tour dates will serve that effort. Specifics, including release and tour dates, will be made public as this develops. Stay tuned for details.
